The Second Annual Turfgrass Ecology and Management Short Course, offered by Texas A&M University, Set for January 23-27, 2006.
This “new” turfgrass management continuing education program is designed to provide basic and practical information to new professional turfgrass managers, as well as to provide experienced turf managers the opportunity to review and update their knowledge. The five-day course will be held at Texas A&M University, in College Station, January 23-27, 2006. The fee for the course is $595 and includes the following: Turfgrasses: Their Management and Use in the Southern Zone as the text, a short course notebook of reference materials, CEU Certificate, four lunches and refreshments. Participants will be awarded 3.6 Continuing Education Units (36 contact hours). The course is directed by Dr. David Chalmers, State Turfgrass Extension Specialist with instruction provided by thirteen Texas A&M University turfgrass program faculty. This program is intended for individuals caring for turfgrasses grown in a broad range of management systems (sports turf, lawn care, golf, parks/municipal and sod production).
Early registration is encouraged, as enrollment is limited. Pre-registration is required through the Office of Continuing Education & Public Outreach. The Registration deadline is January 6, 2006.
