The Winds of Change – What Are You Leaving on the Table?

5th ANNUAL TPT CONFERENCE AND TRADE SHOW SET FOR JANUARY 16th

Continuing education, production seminars, turfgrass equipment/supplies and the annual meeting will highlight the annual TPT Conference and Trade Show to be held in Bay City, Texas on January 16th.

Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. in the Bay City Civic Center with sessions beginning promptly at 8:30. The continuing education session will focus on laws and regulations, insect and weed control issues. Three continuing education units will be available from the Texas Department of Agriculture.

The trade show will open at 10 a.m. Equipment dealers were very well represented at last year’s show and judging from the early inquiries we are receiving, we expect that you should have a good variety of equipment and product dealers with which to visit.

Water issues continue to be on everyone’s agenda and will certainly be discussed throughout the day. The afternoon session will feature discussions specifically designed for our producers and will include a variety of topics on research, water and other issues that affect the turfgrass industry. .

The afternoon session will conclude with a social hour hosted by Bonus Crop Fertilizer. Silent and live auctions will also be held during the social hour. Benefits from the auction will benefit turfgrass research in Texas.

The annual meeting of the Turfgrass Producers of Texas will be held at 6:30. During the meeting, three new directors will be elected to serve three year terms.

Registration forms will be sent to all TPT members as well as non-member producers throughout the state. They are also available on our web site: www.txsod.com. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Those who pre-register will receive a discount on the fees and will help us better prepare for the event.
