WILLIAMSON COUNTY VARIETY TRIAL RESULTS AVAILABLE

            The final report on the 19 variety turfgrass trial in Williamson County is now available according to Ron Leps, County Extension Agent.  The study done in cooperation with Dr. James McAfee, Extension Turf Specialist, gives rating on color, density, quality, disease, green-up and other characteristics.

            The study was initiated in 2002 and rated 2003-05.  Varieties entered in the trial are: Reveille Tx Bluegrass, 80-10 St. Augustine, 300 Series Bluegrass, Zorro Zoysia, Zeon Zoysia, Sea Isle I Paspalum, Empire Zoysia, TifSport Bermuda, Density Buffalograss, Celebration Bermuda, Royal Zoysia, Palisade Zoysia, 100 Series Bluegrass, 609 Buffalograss, GN-1 Bermuda, Palmetto St. Augustine, Floratam St. Augustine, Del Mar St. Augustine, and Variety X Zoysia.
