MEET THE DIRECTOR
Doug O’Connor, of Pilot Point, has been in the turfgrass business for the past 29 years. He is manager of Trinity Turf Nursery, Inc which specializes in high quality bermudagrass and zoysia.
Doug is serving his second term on the board of TPT and feels that it is important to be involved in the organization. He has been a member of TPT for 21 years and has also served as the Texas representative to Turfgrass Producers International.
He feels that it is important that turfgrass producers work together for the betterment of the industry. “There is strength in numbers,” he adds.
“TPT has evolved into a strong organization. With the help of our executive director, we are involved in many new projects”, says O’Connor.
When asked what he finds interesting about this industry, he stated: “There is a different challenge to be met every day.”
His family includes his spouse, Lynne, daughter Shere, step-son and daughter-in-law John and Heather and 2 grandchildren, Brenna and Justin.
